  • hey buddy, i bought a joes notubes setup and it says to use 180ml's of sealant. do you think this is too much?

  • @justint1993 It all depends what tyres you are using. If you are using UST tyres then there's no need for sealant at all. You just add it for puncture protection. For non UST tyres, initially you'll need to add sufficient for it to seal and 180ml would be about right I guess, though you may need more. After that I just add about 60ml of Notubes sealant when I can no longer hear it sloshing around. Which is about every 4 months or so. I hope that answers your question.

  • what size inner tube do you use for a 20in wheel

    thanks

  • @i1bydfalt Sorry, I don't know the answer to that. you could try 16".

  • rubish sorry mate rubish

  • @fignon No, I've never heard of that.

  • @mindracing thanks for that, going to have a crack at it soon as i already run ust tyres on ust rims on another bike, i've read that the sealant can make regular tyres go "soft" after a period of time, have you experienced this?

  • @fignon A good UST wouldn't require sealant (Maxxis High Roller UST for example) but other than that would offer little advantage other than the stronger sidewall making it less likely to burp, though I personally haven't noticed any burping with my non UST High Rollers.

  • great video, would a ust tyre be better when using a standard rim converted with ghetto or kit method or is regular tyre is best? any risk of burping / tyre coming off?

  • Thanks for the video. Very informative.

  • Sorry, I don't have any knowledge of 20" wheels. Maybe try a 16" tube? You just need a size that's tight.
