  • Who the heck are the guys in the dresses?

  • David Burville, Matt Lawrence, and James Dundon with the mic.

  • Thanks for showing this, quite a spectacle!

Who arranged the medley starting at 5:37, and what is the name of the piece of music in it starting at 5:57? I can't remember.

  • Hi Thijs, The melody actually starts at 4:26 and is used as a 'long Can Can' piece for the stage dancers (the Can Can at the beginning and end, with classical extracts in the middle). I think the medley was arranged by Jan Kees de Ruijter. At 5:57 it's playing Monte's Czardas, a phrase from which also crops up at 7:46 before the Can Can reprise at 8:10, complete with overture ending in the middle - great fun! All the best, Nick.

  • I recognised 7:46 as Monti's Czardas, but I'm pretty sure that 5:57 is an entirely different piece of music. Are you absolutely sure?

  • Sorry I was listening to another video at the time - 5:57 is Hungarian Dance Number 5 by Johannes Brahms.

  • One year later this still lives on. Thanks for posting this Christmas show. :)

  • Nick, thanks for posting these videos. We had a lot of fun at this years concert.

The Can Can medley is a Jan Kees creation and is called 'Can Can Forever'

  • Thanks! I knew it was something with Hungarian in it, but now I finally know the full name!

  • Thank you sir.
