At the risk of being attacked by people who's mind doesn't extend past between their legs I have my own thoughts regarding 2012. All that needs to happen is that our satellites fall from the sky and time/communication will stop as far as we perceive it. It doesn't matter how this impossibility happens.

It's too bad that this "NASA scientist" doesn't recognize the path that this nation is on regardless of astronomical data. Every human being in the US has been put into a debt of 45K and that doesn't include paying back all the soc. sec. trust fund bought US bonds and the continuation of soc. sec. benefits as well as all the other gov't handouts that bring that number to some couple hundred thousand dollars borrowed for every man, woman, and child. Their will be a need for stored food and goods.
