You are totally incorrect. Fascist Italy fought with Germany until October 13th 1943 and Japan (another German ally) provoked the US to formally enter the war. Together they signed the Ani-Comintern Pact in 1938, demonstrating their alliance. Germany didn't fight ALONE. You're wrong Britain fought for power? Britain and France promised aid to Poland should Germany invade. They did albeit some time after they declared war. You suggest Britain fought for power-what did the Nazis fight for exactly?
The notion that Britain gave up its empire to save anybodys ass is laughable. Britain lost its empire because it couldnt afford to keep it either militarily or financially. And to answer your question as to whos history I would rather have, its the good old USA any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Because without the USA your country would have lost the war.

"That was not your "finest hour" but the "beginning of the end" of British world position"
you might as well replace the word britain with germany.
