This is a little gem for a class I have been teaching. Enjoy. Any questions go to the post at PostFifthPictures.com with the same name.

  • Great video, thanks for the help! A quick (unrelated) question - when you click your pointer on a button, a small 'bubble' appears around it, how did you do that? Is it something you made with flash or is it built in to Macs? Im running a 2011 Macbook Pro, 15" 8gb ram

  • @davenozza It's just a part of the screen capture software. Sorry!

  • Question: what formats and codecs should I use in Final Cut Pro ? why do you use Prores? Is there alternative when I capture on PC and I edit in FCP ? what codecs FCP accepts the best ?

  • Great video!! But if I want to edit the compressed video in FCP 7.... how would I do that? my MacBook Pro is 8GB RAM and I need a video format that I can edit with in FCP.

  • Thanks for there compressor tips! I'm going to convert to AppleProRes 4444 though. What's the file size difference between that and 422, 422 (LT), and/or 422 (Proxy)?

  • 'Josh you interrupt my broadcast!' "Oh, sorry.' Lol!

  • Thanks. A much needed lesson.

  • Cheers dude

  • Cheers, was helpful
