Its not exactly true to the Stories of the Cycle is it? Although I love the concept, but in my memory Fionn never fought the vikings, from the teaser, I'd Say Goll's character is pretty true.

Truth imho is, that the Cycle is to wide to put in a sinle movie, there's loads of stories in there, from the boyhood deeds to to his death... if they really want to market this, I suggest a trilogy or something, narrated by his son Oisín, but for pure entertainment's sake? I'd definately watch this.

Is this some kind of joke? I've searched the internet high and low for any information about this so called "Finn MacCool" film! There is not one single bit of information about it. The only two references I could find were this youtube video and the same trailer posted on Google video! Considering that this was posted nearly a year ago, it must be a defunct film project, a foreign release, or a hoax... I sure hope that it's for real though!

Well this is rather concerning... I wrote a screenplay for Finn MacCool 5 years ago which has been circling the Production companies and agents on and off ever since, but due to the budgetary demands, it's been on hold.... This looks terribly familiar; but not totally so. I'd be interested to know who the production company and writer for this movie are, if indeed the movie is in existence at all and it isn't just promo material...

Aha! This looks like this would be an outstanding movie if there were some bigger names in the movie buisness that would notice it. If it is a work-in-progress, then, as being 1/4 Irish I must say, the best o' luck to the crew and, May God sleep on your pillow, May He hold you in the palm of His hand, May the roads rise with you, fair weather to your heels, May the wind be ever at your back, and may you be a long time in Heaven, before the devil knows you're gone...

@jim1649 I'm working on a script for a movie based on the Fenian cycle, my main problem is to condense it to a format of 2 hours which is what it needs to be in order for a production company to even consider it.

I have and will continue to try to do my best.

It will probably never be made but it really is a great concept.
