Joseph Arthur isn't dissecting a cockroach, that's file footage, read the fine print. D'oh!
But personally I didn't care for all the extraneous artsy crap, it just confuses the audience in an attempt (by the producer) to be hip.

It's ncie to know a little bit more about who influences Joseph Arthur and what music he likes (even though this is now nearly 10 years old). It was a little distracting to watch with the random images, but nice listening. Thanks for posting it

Really, this is gut wrenching and I cannot watch this mess. Athur may be an okay singer but even a cockroach does not deserve vivesection. Enough!

Well, this happens to various sorts of animals every day, to thousands if not millions. Animals and their ability to suffer isn't respected at all.
To make it perfectly clear: Noone is trying to say the vivisection of a cockroach is ok. Does showing something automatically mean to endorse it? I don't think so.
