Ok, so I fucking killed the Metroid prime, the crater blue up, and it brought me back to the menu, and I have to kill it again! WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?!

@LotusRevolver That's what happens after you fight the final boss. If you load the same file, it takes you back to the last time you saved the game.
