Procedure:

1. Check to see if the technical service bulletin EG024-05 has been performed for the coolant flow control valve.

2. Monitor the position sensor and check to see if the coolant flow control valve can be operated to move open and closed.

My engine light wet on and I was told it was a problem with the"flow valve." It appears they were talking about this flow coolant valve.

They replaced it. Now,three months later the engine light comes on AGAIN and they say it is the flow valve. No way. I do not believe these diagnostics and "quick fix" computer fixes.

On this site the 2004-2009 Prius has problems with the flow valve, but the Toyota dealership here says they have never heard of this as being a reoccurring problem. lying??
