Note: This sauce isn't made from scratch. It starts with a canned sauce and then seasonings are added. I find that the canned sauce already has a lot of little things that make it taste good as a base. This will save us TONS of time and ultimately I think deliver a better sauce than if we made it from tomatoes. In the real world, that matters, as does the fact that it's cheap.
I decided today that I was going to make a pizza, and document the process of doing so. I work at a place that serves pizza (not saying who) but in the process of working there I've come to be a lot more comfortable with making pizza, especially when it comes to knowing how much sauce, cheese, etc are appropriate. The resulting pizza, however, is not very similar to the ones I make at work because the ingredients are very different. At work, we have better crust and cheese (in my opinion) and at home I have better sauce and olives (in my opinion.)
In this part of the video, I'll just be making the sauce. This sauce was "invented" by my dad, for the most part, and originally intended for pizza but very soon got used for spaghetti by the addition of beef. I make some of this stuff about once a week, either for some pizza, spaghetti, or to put on chicken breasts. It's very good, and goes well with a lot of meats and breads, so feel free to experiment with it if you want.
