A tutorial showing you how to give your videos that cinematic widescreen look. This method uses the cropping filter to alter the height of the crop and leave black bands at the top and bottom of the screen

  • Perhaps youhave an earlier version, are you sure you are following the tutorial to the letter? Make sure you copy and paste to all right 3:49 and you tick the stationary box

  • thank you..it was the diamond then,, i always wondered and it pissed me off!

  • Wow! Thanks for this tutorial. I was going nuts trying to stop the shrinking bars. I never would have guessed how to solve it :-)

  • Thank you so much, I was going crazy about the shrink effect after applying the filter with "stationary" option!

I did what you told (Copy and paste to all right), it worked, even if I don't understand what that copy and paste really does in the video...?

  • Good toturial! I followed this through on a still image but made one change, I moved the crop area to the bottom of the screen. I expected the cropped portion to be automatically centered but it wasn't. How do I center the cropped video/image when not using the center of the image or video? Thanks

  • Wonderful & Most Essential Part of tutorials for us TV Cappers. Thanks a ton.

  • thanks for this :)

  • Thanks for posting this, would never have figured how to do this on my own.

  • YES!! It was the "Copy and Paste to All Right" that I probably would never have discovered.

  • Thanks!!! watch my video when i put it on! Please!

  • @iRsemple yep!
