The Dalai Lama is not a "political monk". Ladakh wasn't a part of Tibet when the Chinese took control. A half a dozen administrations have (Namgyal Dynasty, the Dogras, Kashmir) fought over the control of Ladakh and finally it got into the hands of the Indian gov't. A long time back ago it used to a part of Tibet, but then got separated and assimilated into a different territory under a different ruler.
In a frenzy, the Chinese stole the eastern part of Ladakh, which is now called Aksai Chin.

Because Ladakh was not part of Tibet, though its people embrace Tibetan Buddhism (in fact, Buddhism found its way to ladakh before Tibet). China was going to invade Ladakh in the 40's, and India intervened, giving it protection. Do a little research before making such ignorant remarks.

Great democracy for India,
you should definitely let people of Kashmir and Assam have a referendum and decide their own fate.

Why doesn't this political monk include Ladakh in his Great Tibet and ask India government give this land back to Tibet?
