Cindy -- stay positive okay? :) I would try going to a health alternative doctor, alot of the times diabetes is linked to parasites..

my mother, too, is on metformin, 500mg. She's lost about 60lbs in 6 months. She went on a major Evian-bottled water diet. When she first got diabetes in 2003, she had high cholesterol, as well. She's gotten rid of the H.C. and her sugar is regulated to around 100-110 a day.
