Backroom deals to special trips.

These are the 10 most corrupt Dems of 2012.

This week's' corrupt Democrat, Rhode Islander David Cicilline.

As mayor, he staged a massive cover up, misleading voters and masking Providence's fiscal crisis in order to get elected to Congress.

And while he claimed before the election that the city's finances were like this ...

The reality was more like this ...

MAYOR TAVARAS (New Mayor of Providence): "We thought it was maybe a category 3 hurricane, this is a category 5."

ANNOUNCER: Time and time again, Cicilline's claims just didn't add up.

CICILLINE: "We have A ratings from all of our ratings agencies. We have built up a reserve."

And while Cicilline told us Providence was in "excellent fiscal condition"

Voters soon learned the truth,

but not until after the election.

One thing's clear ... we just can't trust David Cicilline.
