I believe there is more than three churches in town but only one resides on Nuxalk Reserve Land. I believe that is what was meant. The two totem poles were torn down but in addition two additional poles were raised ... outside of the Acwsalcta School and outside of Arthur Saunders place.

sorry but the entrance is to a youth rec center...its not to a church.

i think it would've been better if there was no writing things in the movie,i bearly remeber those totem poles

For the record, there's three churches in town, maybe even four, and at least two of them are pre-1930.

My favorite place on earth is the Bella Coola Valley. Sadly, the historic blue church, towed across the river from "old town" was demolished in 2001. The two totem poles were taken town in 2003 due to rot, and even the welcome sign is missing, for now, as it's being relocated. The community hall with the "mouth entrance" is still there.
