ParsonRobert @ www.libertybiblefellowship.com recommends this wonderful song. A great song for a great movie. A story of how justice prevails in the untamed West. John Wayne is at his best, and his costars are wonderful as well. Glen Campbell & Kim Darby. The title song, "True Grit", hit # 35 on the Pop Charts, # 7 on the Country Charts, & #7 on the Adult Contemporary Chart.

  • I'm an African American male who grew up listening to Sam Cooke, Smokey Robinson, and the Supremes, but I just love Glen Campbell and he has to be rated as one of the greatest guitarist of all time!

  • @calvinethompson I grew up listening to all that music too! Those were the days my friend! Thanks!

  • Love Glen Campbell's voice, shame to hear about his illness.

If he's doing a farewell tour i'd love to go and see him.

Shitty illness, the chap himself obviously has true grit.

  • @Mrsimonjolly My wife & I went to see him about 4 years ago. He was as talented in voice and on guitar, as ever. Yes, I pray he will find true grit during this time in his life.

    Best regards,

    ParsonRob

  • "A story of how justice prevails in the untamed West"

Pardon me for saying, but the film seemed like a typical revenge story to me, hardly about "justice."

  • @dracosummoner PS. After going to you channel page, I realized what hypocrisy was in your comment! Check out some of those movies and books and games you listed! You my friend, need to get out a little more!

  • ive always loved this song and movie :)

  • @voiceofelijah2012 Liked both, myself. Both are close to the book by Portis and thus both have a good story and are well made. My favourite version is the one from the 60s, because I like certain things a little better...the cinematography being one thing (2010 version did have good cinematography too, though). And I have the best memories of this 'True Grit'.

  • @voiceofelijah2012 I agree, but I found and read the book and the latest version is very true to the story., still doesn,t come close to the original.

  • FILL YOUR HAND.. YOU SON OF A BITCH !!

  • I saw True Grit at the movies in 1969. It was terrific. The title song did what movie songs are supposed to do: allow you to relive the movie in your mind. I saw Glen in concert 3 or so years ago at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, NC. He did this song as well as many of his other hits. He also surprised me by playing the bagpipes. He is a talented and versatile entertainer. Re: True Grit; the one line in the movie I remember is a Glen Campbell line, "I ain't dead yet you bushwacker."

  • well little sister, that was worth listening too

    RIP JW

  • Ole Glenn was such a kid in this film . A very good song . Someone said Glenn has True Grit .Amen to that . I saw him on tv the other day with his Children . He is a one of a kind . I wish him and hisfamily well .
