  • Moore is too old but AVTAK has its moments and for me its far more entertaining than Moonraker or Octopussy.

  • Nice review---I agree, Roger Moore is old and the plot is twisted but this, (for some reason) is one of my favorite bond films. Its fun and cool, and I like it......But I totally see your point

  • Live and let Die was NOT a bad bond movie it was one of the best and classics but i do agree that a view to a kill was terrible film not only that but Roger moore was far too old it was past his prime.

  • Hey, at least it wasn't as bad as 'Octopussy'...Rog should have retired after 'For Your Eyes Only' . I like the upped action in this movie, although at times it just feels like an American cop movie. It's a classic 80's action movie. The movie isn't great, but Walken and the soundtrack save it for me. And, to anyone who calls this the worst Bond movie ever, go see 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' and 'Octopussy'.

  • In my opinion, I wouldn't say that this film was bad. It's about average for a Bond film with a few problems. Firstly, Roger Moore was too old for the role of OO7 and you can tell that he's very tired in the action scenes, May Day and Stacey Sutton just got on my nerves, and the storyline just doesn't make sense. But apart from that, it was an ok film and watchable.

  • Funny you should mention Roger Moore and Robert Brown being around the same age, actually M as played by Brown is two years younger than Moore!

  • he was 57 in this movie

  • At the before credit sequence, when he says "And one Microchip", he looks realy freaky! Seriousley, check it out! You inspired me to do bond reviews of my own,Check out my channel!

  • @Jolar70 I live in the U.S. also, but I feel the same way about Bond movies being too "Americanized". Some others that fall into that category for me are DAF, LALD, and LTK. Bond movies are always best when they have that exotic European presence.

  • you have made a great review, and i loled when you said "why didnt they sent M instead?" but in my opinion this movie is far better than octopussy. I think that christopher walken and grace jones just saved the movie from being a total crap

  • I'm American but, with the exception of Goldfinger, Bond films set in America usually feel wrong (and cheap) to me. This one is the worst. Let me state that I love Sir Rog. and I think he was a great Bond who aged far more gracefully than Connery (in 9 short, bloated years!), but, while "Moonraker" slips by on excitement and 70's charm, this film does not. I disagree with you about Grace, who's claim to fame WAS being weird! (before Madonna and Lady Gaga) and the same could be said of Walkin.
