PunK reUNion- The Obituaries,Pierced Arrows,Oblivion Seekers

a punk reunion show aug,2,07 in portland oregon.. dantes in old town to be exact.. instead of lame and tired as often at reunion shows this was spicy and still burns in those that were there, don't front 'cause Dante's only holds like 250, and it was packed..

The buzz was high 'cause 66% of Dead Moon was playing in their new project -Pierced Arrows-, fred and toody don't rock they ARE rock!! i've seen them possibly hundreds of times, they are seamless, powerful, pro to the ohhhhh! the new trio sounded tight Kelly Halliburton is the new drummer.. i ain't getting into nothin' round this, got love for loomis always.. Pierced Arrows punched.. Fred and Toody in rare from nuf said.

The Oblivion Seekers always got something old and something new, Sten was slanky, and Heidi is amazing no matter what style she was singing and tonight was so hot Sten's guitar literally lit on fire..

Then the Obituaries, one of those bands we old schoolers know could have been one of the one's, bigger then the 'n' band and all that sea trash that came along after but hell let bybands be bybands...

Their set proved that they could have been but for sure today they ARE one of the best punkSlankBluesRock bands still standing.. They got new shit and they're standing on some old and true roots... You best clue up and get on this wave.. i love 'lectro, hip hop, jazz and all but long live the rock... we need it right now..

wow 'school of rock' you are a scenester... my goal wasn't hits.. it was to give people a flavor of three bands that i think rock.. that way they can search for them, maybe buy their music.. your audition for spin magazine is going well i presume.. vapid, critique with no personal output.. just a critic.. have another beer and fold into that comfortable, "we're so cool" portland scene.. i have gotten dozens of emails in thanks.. yours is the only one that begs the obvious..
