http://www.speedtrainingsecrets.com for all the videos in the series. The quickest way for most athletes to run faster is to condition their hip flexor muscles. Training these muscles for speed will make a huge improvement in your running speed and make you a faster athlete.

Your hip flexors are some of the longest and strongest muscles in your body but, they are essentially dormant in most athletes, meaning, they have never been activated for speed or exercised properly for any athletic function. Yet most speed training programs do not give much if any emphasis to this muscle group.

As their name implies, their function is to flex the hip or to flex the thigh up on the pelvis and they play a major role in 1) running faster, 2) jumping higher and 3) kicking farther. However, since these muscles are hidden deep within the midsection of your body, they usually go unnoticed and ignored in most speed training exercises.

If you have weak hip flexors you will never sprint at your fastest level and will always feel like you are stuck in second gear.

Properly training your hip flexors for speed will quickly and significantly improve your 1) running speed, 2) jumping height, 3) jumping distance, 4) kicking height and 5) kicking distance in football, baseball, basketball and soccer and track.

  • @IMsuperDUPERable thanks man, you saved me a bunch of time

  • @Jailbreak54321 come on buddy

  • nice video appriciate it alot

  • Physics tells us that turnover rate is 50% of sprinting. Power= Force/time. Turnover rate dictates the rate of which force is applied. Proper mechanics dictate force application which is why ground contact is indeed 50% of sprinting. I love your premise, and know that your expertise is awesome. I didnt know about all the bodies hip flexors and how dismissed they are. Check out this video, give me your thoughts. The guy is slowed down in the first video, he can be seen doing the exact thing full
