Objective-C® for Dummies® by Neal Goldstein, Copyright © 2009 by Wiley Publishing, Inc., is the main source of information for this video.

I start a big lesson on different operators in Objective-C. We are almost done with the somewhat boring part of learning to program.

  • Where can i find tuts that are GUI based?

Every one seems to hate GUI with vengeance for some reason.

  • @vancar6 I will be getting into applications with GUIs in not too long. Its just that I first have to teach the basics before I get into GUIs. I have started object oriented tutorials so I'm getting closer to tutorials with GUIs although it'll still be a few months before I start.

  • So if we use the inc/dec operator after a value, is it fair to say that the new value gets registered somewhere, even if it isn't displayed in the log?

  • the nslog stops at thread 1, how do i fix this

  • @macandcomputerhelp

how do i get that pop out debugger or something similar (I'm on Xcode 4)

  • Dude, you really stated this citate from the bible?

  • Oh! wow, i'm sorry i need to be patient and finish the video, just now seen "the bug thing" lol... Sorry

  • Wait, so i'm confused now, you have to declare "a" every time you set it to a new value in Objective-C? Like it won't work if you just put " a = 2 " if you have already declared it? lol sorry coming from c#...anyways GREAT tutorials, seriously the best of all i seen, ever. good job.
