WHat the Hell? North America should form an organization like the European Union. We're living in a world that should be UNITED! not separated! Even the Germans know it! their country was split by a wall for nearly 30 years!

also, in very many cases, 'anti-immigrant' groups are as anti-neoliberal as many pro-immigrant groups, but for different reasons. at all the minutemen rallies here in texas there are folks tabling against the trans-texas corridor, and recently in the so-called radical circles, the tragedy that that will cause is gradually being discussed more and more. ppl of different political ideologies understand the real suffering caused by such shitty policy. hopefully that that comes across more.

i personally am not advocating for open borders. this is a problem that does not have an easy answer, but rather many answers, some of which are already being worked out (like the CIW, catfish workers in N. Mississippi, MPOWER of s. mississippi, baltimore workers center that has been organizing temp workers who are black, white and brown). and the world wide resistance to neoliberalism. but the studies show, the more 'secure' the border, the more deaths happen crossing it.

definitely, as white ppl are the majority of poor people in this country, i totally agree. well one thing that comes with immigration is new ways of fighting corporate greed. case in point: the coalition of immokalee workers. they have been organizing in southern fl for bout 15 years now and have been using strategies learned and developed over their years involved in latin american social movements.
