"What Kind of Fool Am I?" is a popular song written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley and published in 1962. It was introduced by Anthony Newley in the musical Stop The World - I Want To Get Off. It comes at the end of Act One, the perfect showstopper as the curtains fall to take the audience in to the interval. The solo performer belts out this sad song that is full of emotion.

  • When I was a youth, I used to go with my Mom to those old time Broadway plays like Oklahoma, South Pacific and Stop the World I Want To Get 0ff with word class entertainer, Anthony Newley.

  • Geoff, you know when I know, and I head some lovely singing. Made me cry. well, it's Christmastime now. I have to go out, and eat a bird with my sister. Will you do that, too? Cause when we come back, I'm gonna give you some singing pointers, and then we can lose our accent. Ok? Ok! I didn't know there was a competition. when I'm back..

  • Nice voice, Geoff, you are very gifted. *****

  • Hello Geoff, I sing in a church choir as a soprano. In 30 years I have sung in choirs of various sizes. We sing new and old hymns, motets, masses, cantatas, with and without soloists. It gave me great pleasure in a good choir to sing.

A relaxing Sunday, you and your wife

  • Hello, Erika. Lovely to hear from you - thanks for your kind comments.

My wife & I used to sing in local operatic societies & choirs until about 20 years ago, (that is how we met). Since then we have been freelance entertainers, performing in places such as nursing homes, church halls, village halls and theatres. Where do you sing?

    My Best Wishes

    Geoff
