Panasonic DMC-GF1 comparison with ZS3 using 14-45 mm and 20 mm lenses

This is a combination of several clips taken with my Panasonic DMC-GF1 and my Panasonic DMC-ZS3. I used the 20 mm and 14-45 mm lenses for the GF1.

The original file shows that the ZS3 has much more noise than the GF1. However, the youtube compression might mask that.

The 14-45 and 20 mm lenses have similar video output. However, the 20 mm has almost no noise where the 14-45 has some noise that may or may not be visible on youtube.

Both cameras and lenses are very good at taking video. However, my favorite is the 20 mm with the GF1 just because it produces great noise free video in any light.

So I am gonna get the GF1 and I don't know which lens to pick. Which one is just generally better than the other. I am asking because the version with the 20mm has the same price as the 14-45mm lens including the camera. Please reply.

@bamyo53 The 14-45mm lens is a more versatile lens because of its wide angle and medium telephoto range. However, its aperture is hopelessly small for indoor pictures and videos. If you need low light capabilities then the 20mm pancake is currently your only reasonable m4/3s choice.
