  • @wendyneo I dun think you should utter a SINGLE word about patriotism. If I read your profile correctly, you are not even a Singapore citizen!! You are one of those people who skip town the moment things get bad!! Do you even realize how hypocritical you sound?!? Be more like Nelson Mandela first (who was with his country thick and thin) before you start accusing MY ministers and MY government. You are just a foreign agitator who likes to stir unrest and hatred in SG!!

  • @wendyneo PAP was opposition in the old days of course....but I don't think today's opposition is anywhere close to the PAP! Again, I don't know what you are talking about. SG has grown even after LKY has stepped won. SG has consistently low unemployment, rising wages, AAA credit rating etc. Above all, SG has survived the destabilizing effects of globalization. SG actually got richer from globalization, imagine that! I have seen the good the NEW PAP did for the country, and THEY HAVE MY VOTE!!

  • @wendyneo I thought the money was lost due to the lehman bro collapse/ US subprime mortgage crisis etc? everybody lost money then, get over it! how can you directly blame Dr Tony Tan for this? next thing, you'll be blaming him for poor weather or world hunger. If you want to make such a major allegation, you had better have supporting documentary proof and witness testimonials. I now understand why the opposition are sued for defamation..because they like to tell half truths and distort facts!

  • @ZeonEnigma

Singapore, a small country, cannot afford to have a cowboy or populist politician running a 1-man 1-party show. That's too dangerous! If he is wrong, he will bring down the whole country. We need patriotic politicians/President who can provide check and balance to steer Singapore in the right direction. We must unite against people who are only interested in consolidating all power/resources to themselves, without caring that such action will bring Singapore down. 爱国不爱党,爱党不爱国!

  • @michaelisation

Nobody - including Chee Soon Juan etc - ever said bad things about SINGAPORE; They said bad things about PAP. If you can't even tell the diff bet a COUNTRY and a POLITICAL PARTY, you have been brain-washed. It is a fact that PAP has imposed draconian law, and violate our rights to free speech/assembly as protected by The Constitutional (highest law of the land). A patriot speaks up against the GOVT/POLITICAL PARTY because he loves his COUNTRY. Tan Jee Say is a patriot.

  • @ZeonEnigma

You are spot-on when you said PAP **EARNED** it. Past tense! In the past, PAP had internal democracy with Ong Pang Boon, Toh Chin Chye etc checking/balancing LKY's nonsense. Post-1990, after forcing old comrades to retire, LKY ran a 1-man show pushing extreme policies (eg FTrash), thus ruining SG. The PAP of TODAY, is diff from the PAP of YESTERDAY! PAP has "UNEARNED" what it had earned previously. Time to jump ship and support Opposition. Btw, PAP was once Opp. too, u know?

  • @ZeonEnigma

Pls don't insult Warren Buffet! Mr. Buffet expressed openly that he thought GIC was foolish to want buy the shares of UBS and citibank. Against his open advice, Tony Tan not only "invested" in UBS/citibank, but even said GIC was open to buying more! Result: Tony Tan lost >10 BILLIONS of our hard-earned CPF money! So, PAP need to be checked and balance and the person to do that (as far as the reserves is concerned) shall be President Tan Jee Say!

  • If Tan Jee Say becomes the President of Singapore, will he counter react on the other presidents when tough question is directed to him? Such as draconian and strict laws, lack of freedom of information/speeches? Or, will he agree to all these allegations and say bad things about Singapore?

Tan Jee Say is not fit for president of singapore, i am very sure about that.

  • @oneguy1164 good man! we must unite against the people who want to bring Singapore down. Singapore cannot afford to have cowboy or populist politicians who would do anything to get a vote.

  • @wendyneo if you are truly sincere in providing checks and balance to Singapore, come join me! We will check and balance + thoroughly audit the opposition party members. I seriously can't believe they have the gall to want to "check and balance" the government. Its like asking a monkey (the opposition) to advise Warren Buffett (the PAP) on investments.
