  • Shirley Verrett was a great Tosca. For one thing, this scene with Cornell Macneil is better than the one MacNeil did with Hildegard Behrens in '84 at the Met. Verrett had a splendid voice for Tosca - rich, dark, lyric and excellent from top to bottom. She clearly also gets into character very well. This was really great.

  • superbo Mcneill, grande Scarpia

  • Great singers, superb interpretations,Bravi to them both, would have loved to see them both in these roles live.

  • The way she delivers, "...son Tosca, o Scarpia!" is worth the price of admission.

  • YES!

  • I still love this Clip

  • Fantastic's singers and interpretation very dramatic. Bravo!!!

  • BRAVAAAAAAAA!
