You're video is 100% accurate. I like driving barefoot as much as possible, and you're right the control is much better than with shoes on. I also echo what you said about the way you would prefer to dress all the time. I feel exactly the same way, shorts, polo and flip flops is the best way for a guy to dress. It's the most comfortable etc. So congrats to you for posting such an accurate and interesting vid.

I also like you to drive barefoot. For the same reason your only driving barefoot I have full control of the pedals. As you said yourself, by pressing the pedal with the soles of bare feet, I can even grasp the foot with the toes, so there is no danger of slipping off the pedals. Usually those who are not used to it, might think it is dangerous or uncomfortable, but when you try to do this, do not stop anymore.

I live in Georgia and I drive barefoot year round and it is not illegal here.I love it.I was in flip flops one time and almost wrecked because flops tucked under when I hit the brake pedal so out they went.Why didn't you show your barefeet while you was making the vid?Just wondering since that is what the vid was about.Thanx

I live in Florida and I drive barefoot all the time and i feel that I have more control in bare feet than in flip flops. By the way I tried gripping the brake pedal with my toes like you said in the video and i like it. Now if you are worried about the law just keep your flip flops by the seat out of your way that way if you get stopped you can just slip them on.

Seriously it's good point but when it rains or snow or mud is everywhere, then is not nice to feel this on your feet. Like also when pedals are cold metal may be a little uncomfortable to feel this bare foot.

But I agree that feelin' the car is way better like this.

The only reason I can think of which (hardly)supports it is that the lack of material between a persons foot and the pedals may cause moisture(sweat) which would affect the friction between your foot and the pedal. However, I still don't think this is a good enough reason to fine someone over it. I seriously doubt the amount of road accidents would increase if it was no longer illegal. Just another example which shows the law to be one big power hungry control freak.
