My newest Zenith is 1987, my oldest is about a '79 System 3 19" in that woodgrain plastic and ultra style cabinet. The '87 is a stereo tabletop 19", and both are flawless performers. I have two '87 13" and three 9" cubes, from '91. I strive to have one more vintage Zenith color console, preferably working as well as the ones here now. What a beautiful set you have!
I do prefer the picture of the modern HDTV. At the same time, TV's from the 90's to today are made to break down and be replaced. Older TV sets costed more back then, and quality of them made them worth fixing. Lowering the price of modern TV's only cheapened the quality to make them disposable. The tuners in today's TV's are crap compared to the older TV's. You didn't necessarily need an outdoor antenna with older TV sets to get a good picture (especially on VHF)
Oh my gosh, I have one just like this, it's been stored away since it broke down thirty years ago but somehow dad never had the heart to get rid of it. The cabinet is a work of art. It hasn't worked since I was a kid so your video has brought back memories for me.

The edges curve in, because the picture tube was rounded on the edges. Back in the 60's...that was state of the art technology!

Tubes will be the hardest parts to find as TV's stopped using tubes (except picture tube) by the mid to late 70's.

Collectors have their own forums, so finding parts may, or may not be a problem.
