The 66th Tokyo International Gift Show Autumn 2008 was held at Tokyo Big Sight and took up the entire building including both the east and west halls for a total exhibit space of 86,410 square meters, which is equivalent to the area of six Tokyo domes. This Gift Show is known for being one of the most practical tradeshows and is held twice each year.
The opening ceremony was held September 2nd with the participation of 2,200 exhibitors from both Japan and abroad, and the expo was comprised of around 30 fairs that were focused primarily on the display of new, tasteful designs that blend well with our everyday lifestyles.
The 51st Active Design Craft Fair featured an active design corner and design collections created with superior lifestyle oriented design aspects even for ordinary people.
Various special events were also held including the Hawaiian World Healing Space, the Robot Showcase that featured a lineup of entertainment robots, and an Asia Trade Promotion Forum (ATPF) that included the participation of 28 nations from abroad. Traditional and modern Japanese brands that included interior goods designed with a Japanese taste were also showcased. These events provided visitors with an opportunity to enjoy unique items from abroad.
The Beauty Cosmetics Fair showcased a wealth of unique goods from abroad including organic soaps, cosmetics, and makeup kits.
With the growing popularity of eco-friendly products, the show also featured an Eco Goods Booth where products that are useful to everyday consumers were exhibited including eco-friendly products with superior functionality that are helpful for everyday life.
The 66th Gift Show included space where companies could gather to do business and it was readily apparent that this show was an exhibition that overflowed with new ideas. Next years Spring Gift Show is likely to be an event that will convey even more new ideas to the world.

I'm actually very impressed with that Eco clock, moreso because of the battery being nothing more then a little tube of water. I'm assuming you'd have to refill it often, but the idea behind it is good. Using water AS an energy source is probably the next best step.

It is said that these kind of videos, that circulate and spread ecological and innovational ideas , get thousands of times less views , than some redneck , destructive , pointless and disturbing videos. You guys should advertise more, I mean really , It would make some difference.
