  • One of the most brilliant comedy bits ever!!!!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • There's nothing funny about a man with genitals on his chest and whipped cream in the face

  • Is it just me or does he kind of look like Frank Caliendo with super long curly hair?

  • saw it that night on carson i was maybe 13-14 i loved it

making the perfect standup spot outta having no standup spot

forgot the joey bishop part but brooks' act wil always remain

the funniest carson standup routine i ever saw

    t/y for the great memory

  • Albert Brooks. The comic runs out of jokes.

  • I also remember watching this when it was first aired. Brooks took stand-up to a new level. He didn't tell a series of jokes but always came up with unique and brilliantly funny routines. He came up with a new routine almost every time he was on the air and it was always great. I never saw a comedian like him. After a few years he performed this, his farewell to stand-up, and it killed. It's too bad it's cut short here. I always thought it was one of the finest pieces of comedy ever done.

  • One of the most creative entertainers of all time. Someone already posted that Joey Bishop, who was guest hosting that night, mad the comment that it was the single funniest bit he'd ever seen. I've never heard any other comedian say anything like that, before or since. The exit was a parody of the exit that Jimmy Durante used to do. I hope that someone can find the whole thing. He did the most wonderful bad ventriloquist that was a parody of the great Spanish ventriloquist, Señor Wences.
