  • The study was done by Technogym, not sure of the details exactly. The exact quote was taken out of context as related to cross fit and cross training, the idea being presented is the classic linear high intensity training methods may not be the only way! The same intensity and heavy resistance can be used on the Kinesis wall (very similar to a simple tubing/pulley) as weight lifting circuits but the movements trained are a lot more dynamic, numerous, freeing, and require more neural engagement.

  • Hey grambo22,

Thanks for the comment. It is 30% more calories as compared to isolation dumbbell work. Exactly like olympic lifting except here the resistance is cable and the movements are a lot more creative and flowing nature. The resistance can be adjusted from essentially zero to 200lbs. It has similar feel to moving constructively in compound full body movements using tubing resistance, without the risks of course.

    Thanks

    A

  • I've never heard anyone make the claim that you can put in less effort and get great results only if you use their really expensive product... what studies have proven the number 30% that's a nice round number-without any data- it just smacks of a false claim. Using attractive people who got in shape before this lame product just insults us. MOST importantly talking smack about programs that have proven track records like crossfit and crosstraining at a high intensity is just stupid.

  • I don't get it, you can move a barbell, db's and kettlebells freely through space, this is a gimmick. 30% increase in cals burned compared to what? 400M repeats?

"you're using your entire system rather than just isolating" -- kind of like barbell squats, olympic lifting etc?

I have a travel roller and love it (although it was expensive), and I understand the market for what you are doing here, but isn't it boring working with clients who don't want to do real work?
