  • Some one has taken this video in a nice mobile phone. Farmers of Nandigram do not have mobile phones, they are never going to have one in next 100 years. Because they have a small piece of land and that land will be divided into smaller pieces in the generations to come. The "intellectuals" have money to educate their children and they will go to other state/countries to take up jobs. And the people of Nandigram will remain poor forever. Intellectuals of Bengal you have done your duty.

  • Few pepole are very worried about a "nice" mobile phone which can record a vedio. The are also worried about poor peasants of Nandigram who have small lands which "will be divided into smaller pieces in the generations to come". These people use a pseudo name for posting a comment on Youtube & take two weeks time to reply back (most probably for consulting what to write with fellow comraders).

  • Sudip,

I want my state to prosper and I want it for all, not only for intellectuals. Industrialisation is the only way to do it. In case you want to reply do it with some logic and make it a proper discussion forum. If you only hurl abuses that will only reflect poorly on you.

  • Which type of logic you are talking about? That Binoy Kongar type? Take of your mask first & then talk to me.

  • So...friends come be a pimp & let's gun down poor peasants to secure a bright future for "generations to come". Joy - Henceforth please take a go ahead from Alimuddin st. before reciting a poem else these worried people will become so proactive that they will wear a police uniforms & "Chappals" & make your life "hell".

  • i'm not against industralization, but i'm against this govt that let this anarchism continue for 11 months, and finally, let this massacre happen.hasbo na kadbo bujhte pari na jokhon amader PM 'bodla' newar kotha bolen.achha apnara nahoy cpm, kintu tar ageo to apnara manush, etogulo manusher rokto jhorlo, tate kono heldol nei apnader? shilpa obossoi dokrkar, kintu tar jonno ei hingshar proyog kano?

  • I fail to understand why the ppl of bengal still vote or CPM. When other states have gone miles ahead they are still in a mess within their own states killing innocent poor peasants. Shame on CPM and their supporters.

  • Joy Goswami ki 'intellectual' se proshongo thak... tini industrialisation'er pokkhe na bipokkhe seta bishoi noi... it is of state machinery and goons of ruling gentry shooting to kill 'downtroddens'.. let industrialisation happen but not by killing peasants. And when same Joy reads out poetry against Modi-Gujarat riots, we listen in apt silence, then why not now!!!None speak a word about Lakshman Seth, the don of Haldia...

  • 3. WB is India's densest state (> 900 ppl/ sq. km.). No one wants to curb that for obvious reasons. How do we deal with unemployment and smaller-by-the-day land holdings?

    4. The politicians are a curse on our destiny. We are in the hands of remarkably mediocre people. Can Bengal MPs argue in the parliament? Can they even talk in English or Hindi?

  • 1. We need entrepreneurship, not 'industrialization'. Revoke the 44th amendment.

    2. If WB is run by poets, we will have very bad governance. Text-weaving is no solution. Instead of telling others what they cannot do, the focus should be on what you can do.
