........................Dude
Your video is Amazing, a majority of these images I have never seen before and the music that goes with it............Sends chills up my spine to be honest with you.
Very well done indeed AAA+++
And another thing was the liquidators were not told how dangerous the radiation was. Yet they still went in and indeed sacrificed not only there lives but their childrens lives too.
Many of the surviving liquidators are ignored by their government.
Poor souls.

I was born a few days after that happened. I'm glad I am very far where that happened. But If I was old enough back then and can go in there with the Liquidators I would do it. Cause what those guys did are beyond what supermen do in the movies. They threw away their lives for all of us and here we are still trying to kill each other.

@cheaniggachea No, it was shadows and highlights.

I get goosebumps everytime I see the old bumper cars and the ferris wheel.

@SpaceBall96 I didn't. I've never even played the game or seen someone play it.

Thumbs up if you got the names ''Pripyat and Chernobyl'' from Call of Duty 4

@usnsquirrel oh ok thank you

@TheJeRoMeWWE Pride and lack of communications and training ultimately caused the problems that led to the catastophic failure. It was a Russian nuclear powerplant that got too hot and essentially melted down. only 5% of the radiation actually got out into open air. Had just 50% of the radioactive fuel been released, the entire world would still be coping with MASSIVE health problems due to it.

@HybridPineapple ...if they survived long enough. Their government told them that they were only allowed to be on the roof of the reactor for 2 minutes max. that gave enough time for each worker to make 3-4 runs over to the side of the roof, or near the collapsed roof with a small shovel of debris to toss down. Then they had to get out. This happened around the clock for months. 60,000 liquidators went into town (ripyat) to check for people, and measure the radiation levels. Truly scary stuff.

@HybridPineapple They are basically firefighters and other emergency rescuers, both local and governmental that went in to stop the spread of the radioactive debris and fallout from spreading more than it did. Some of the liquidators that worked on the reactor died after as little as 45 seconds of exposure. They were paid their normal pay, plus the equivalent to 100 USD at the time
I'm the author of this video, but decided to open another youtube account that made it easier for me to network.
Thanks for all of the comments and input folks. I'm glad to have made an impact on someone's life with the education. Please pass this on to your friends, as I'm sure they probably weren't taught much about this event in school.

I'm glad to have helped. I was almost 7 years old when this happened, and we were never taught about it in school, so I felt obligated to do something, hoping to educate others. Unfortunately, this video is only showing what was left behind. There are other videos out there that show how people's lives were forever changed.
Humans can't safely live in Chernobyl for another 10,000 years!
