  • @aldonkac I think that he is missing a kick every now and then.

  • Do NOT put the hands together on the catch phase of the stroke, or the extension; it causes injury and a lot of wasted energy.

  • very very very helpful!! thanks so much

  • Thank you.. found many things wrong with my stroke after watching this.. amazing style of explanation!!! thank you again!

  • Just started to learn butterfly...only on week 3 and I have found your demonstration and instructions the best and easiest to understand and follow. I am finding it difficult and I ache, especially my back and lower back! I am absolutely loving it tho and wanted to say thankyou for the great demos..I can do one length now but it's not very neat! My goal...to swim butterfly in the sea like the lady in the last clip...amazingly graceful :0)

  • I tried and I loved it. Swimming this way allows me to swim greater distances than swimming the classical butterfly. And I didn´t forget about two kicks :)

  • @aldonkac Hi, it's two, but you will only see one in the surface :)

  • How many kicks are there per one stroke? Sometimes I see one or two.

  • The explanation/narration makes sense, but the demonstration bears little resemblance to the conventional butterfly stroke. Listen to your own advice but for best results get a swimming coach before you venture posting videos of yourselves swimming butterfly (or any stroke).

  • Thanks for posting these videos - I have done workshops and training with Steven & Vikki and they are thoroughly inspiring. Is there anyone who swims fly in such an hypnotic fashion as Vikki Harmer? I go into an altered state just watching her! The technique is sublime and I love teaching it. I believe anyone can learn to 'fly! See zenswimming.co.uk for more details
