Iowa's undefeated season and #1 ranking were washed away on a rainy night in Ohio Stadium. Iowa was trying its damnedest to rally in the final minutes, but a Chris Spielman INT, his second of the game and Chuck Long's 4th, secured the upset victory.

Afterwards, Ohio Stadium celebrates... the only way it knows how.

  • "We got thirty minutes on the clock, and we'll be right back."

    Whoops.

  • @dannyd1572 hahah yes , thats true , I would know who it was but sadly as time goes on the next generation wont , not even Woody . I miss the 80's , and did I ever hate Chuck Long ! lol hahaha

  • @hawkman2111 lol Sorry Hawkman , you are right , I thought about it after I left the site but figured nobody ever read this stuff anyhow . hahahah I got 3 messages this morning . lol Maybe you should ask if im to old to remember ? hahah Believe it or not but most of Ohio States recruits come from the smaller towns and not large cities . LOL I guess I also defended Michigan from SEC fans last night aswell , I need to go to bed earlier ! hahahahah

  • @TheDarremac I also think if you compare coaching Fry vs Woody dont you think Fry would of done just as good as Woody with the talent pool Ohio st has with Clev and Cinnci in your same state. I know Woody is a legend but Fry was a hell of a coach who had Bob Stoops ,Bill Snyder ,Barry Alvarez and Kirk Ferentz work under him.

  • @TheDarremac I know your right but I was just saying if Iowa would of won and won the bowl game they would of won the national title. They didnt so it dont matter ,in 2002 if Ohio st would of lost one of them games that year Iowa would played Miami in the title game instead of Usc. but your wrong Iowa did win the Big Ten and went to the Rose bowl ,so how young are you lol

  • Glad we still have the ANF on our helmets. Something about that is special.

  • @TheDarremac Nope..I agree..not on the same level. More specifially in the Big 10. I guess I was including his persona that became famous as well. I think still to this day when people see a drawing of a coach with a mustage, sunglasses and a farm cap they right away know who it is. I think he's gotten quite a bit more popular over time as well. But winning records..no..not like woody and bo.

  • @flanz45 lol I know your a diehard , you mentioned Marcus Marek . Sadly he is rarely mentioned anymore .

  • @hawkman2111 lol you must be very young , there was no National Championship game , it did cost them the Big 10 and Rose Bowl trip .

  • @dannyd1572Hayden was to Iowa Football like woody and Bo was to their schools but I wouldnt put him on the same level over all . Woody after all won 5 National Championships .
