Hey! I got a vaccum cleaner that sounds just like that! lol. Actually it is quite an impressive sound for a prop plane to make. It is no putt-putt.

@flobber777 LOL u erased your original post. No man, english is the official language of aviation, not danish, sorry 'bout tht. A relative of mine went through the initial training for the A320 fam in Miami FL. Do you have any idea of the complexity of that plane? btw, tht relative used to fly the ATR425 before, so there is my reference. Have a good danish day

@americanblues05 Hi I'm aorry for my crappy english, I'm danish, shall we start writing on danish? Want to see how crappy your danish is. At least I'm able to write on english.
I'm talking about the -500 series. Every person has his own opinion of the things so don't start to slag someone off because he don't has your opinion.
In my eyes the A320 is a flying computer with wings. What's up with you man? Denmark is a free country everyone is allowed to have his own opinion of things!

@flobber777 first off man, improve your English. Second off, you are comparing a regional turboprop with a medium range airliner. Does that make sense to you?? What about the 600 series? Have you seen the cockpit layout?? Its pretty Airbus-like. Finally, I love both machines so.... I aint picking sides, Im just makin a point... you're a retard

ei juosta asematasolla :D
Cool video and awesome aircraft!! many atr's here in NZ. ATR 42 and ATR 72 both use P&W 120 series engines and the props on the 72 are hamilton sunstrand, so im guessing the same goes for the 42 in this video. The 500 series feature the six bladed prop and the older models used the 4 bladed prop : )

You are welcome to my comments. Thanks for the video, I love the sound of aircraft engines. Cannot find out who made these six bladed props, are they Hartzell?
