the official statement from the authorities is that they do not have guns, if you watch the video you see them using teargas but also holding and aiming rifles and their uniforms are clearly marked POLICE in english even though they might be basiji
but of course, according to the government these are what they call "foreign infiltrators" probably or "zoionist"
