This is just a quick tour of the backyard at Mom's house in Honolulu, Hawaii for those who are interested. We are in the valley on the island of O'ahu so you can see the mountains in the background. The weather is clear and sunny, 80 degrees with cool Trade Winds blowing (you can hear the wind).

Breadfruit is called "ulu" in Hawaiian.

Off camera, I'm wearing my sun hat from Coolibar and SPF 50! ;)

Thanks for watching!

  • Wow!!! Beautiful!!! You are so lucky to be able to visit your family in the middle of winter. I've been to Honolulu, loved it and wish I was there right now. I live in Seattle and am looking forward to spring and more sunshine. Guess the sunshine won't be until the day after 4th of July. LOL Thanks for sharing and telling us about some of the plants. I love papaya and it's so good for you. Priscilla :)

  • @pmb5005 Hi Priscilla! I'm back on the East Coast now but I'm still sending warmth and sunshine your way! Hope you're having a great week! Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

  • I love breadfruit! We have been in O'ahu so many times because I am from Guam; so, it's a stop coming to and from... Hilton Hawaiian Village is one of my favorite places, believe it or not!! :-)

  • @ksimons1973 Wow! Not too many ppl know about breadfruit! Yay!!! Island Girls rock! :) The Hilton Hawaiian Villiage is gorgeous so that would make sense! Thanks for watching and subscribing to my little channel!

  • That is absolutely gorgeous! The birds in the background sound just like the rainforest setting on my sound spa. When you showed the picture of the top of the trees and i could see the blue sky and the clouds, that split second was like a perfect moment in time. It's so rainy and cold here that I have almost forgotten what summer is. Thank you for the reminder and the beautiful video of your childhood home.

  • @kimdemby Thank you, Kim! I'm glad it reminded you of summer. My husband understands that I need to thaw out, recharge, and get grounded again so he's great about me staying with my mom for a while. Thanks for watching! :)

  • @dinahout Mahalo! People never think that I have Guamanian in me, but I do! I love my island girl side!

  • @dinahout There's no other place like it! We are truly blessed! Thanks again! :-)

  • @LipstickVanessa Hi Vanessa! Makes it hard for me to leave and return to the East Coast, though. :) Thank you for watching!

  • @123cetaphil There's no place like home in Hawai'i, right? :) Thanks for watching!

  • @chocford Hi Chocford! I feel very blessed growing up there. My grandparents and father were displaced from their original home when the H-1 freeway was put in but my grandmother had the foresight and vision to move to this gorgeous location.
