just been talking about this on facebook, Adele singing 'Someone Like You ' reminds me of Anne Shelton because Adele wrote the song on a true event in her life. it's all so sad.

i worked with Anne back in the 1990s, she was still singing well and such a lovely lady, i have such great memories of this song on stage every night

My Father was killed in the war at sea. Mother used to sing this song, but transposed the words to "Silver Ship on the Ocean" Very sad - thanks for the memory. revrahnna

I remember hearing this song on the radio during the war. I had forgotten all but the first few words. My mother had the sheet music for this. My what lovely memories this conjures up. Ann Shelton had a beautiful voice.
