Carl goes on to explain how to set up for an attack after you have gained your position. With this technique you are either forcing the opponent out of position or you can anticipate he is going to react.
This is from the Championship Technique Video Escapes & Reversals video #5 in the series of 9. The series is Instructed by Head Coach Carl Adams of Boston University Wrestling. Carl was also a member of the Iowa State University Wrestling Team. There he was a 4X National Champion!

  • @td82394 if he stays where he is you can grab that front headlock. most wrestlers come up because the front headlock can be very bad for them. But yeah, if he just stays grab the front headlock and do it quick so he cant take a shot.

  • What if I snap him down and he just goes right back to where he was and doesn't give me enough room to shoot?

  • Where can I find vids of top to bottom wrestling? I really need to improve on it

  • its black dynimite lol

  • is that... shaft?!

  • Excellent, I'm trying to improve this initial stage of wrestling, cause I'm telegraphing my shots way too much.
