THE PRIEST, THE WHOLE PRIEST AND NOTHING BUT THE PRIEST **FAN SPECIAL #2**

I've edited together many of MY most fave clips of Steve, (doing what he does best), into this little video for all Steve Priest fans worldwide to drool over.

'RESTLESS' - was sung by Steve priest. Written by Scott, Tucker, Connolly, Priest.
From The Sweet album: SWEET FANNY ADAMS (1974 RCA) Produced by Phil Wainman.

SFA: reached #27 in the UK album charts. Released April '74 UK only.
This is one of 2 songs recorded on this album, featuring Steve singing lead vocals, the other being 'No you don't' - 'Own up take a look at yourself', was a bonus track on the 1999 re-issue of SFA.

Definite sounds of the band 'Free' in this song, but not sure who came first - Sweet or Free!

I had a lot of fun making this - but no lie . . . it was hard work! Hope you like it!

  • great video. i love SWEET and watching these videos, makes me want to go back to the 70's and relive the decade. i love steve's eyes, they are very expressive when he sings. what song was he singing when he wore that short curly wig? thanx again sonic lady for your video

  • That wasn't a wig - that was Steve's real hair!!!! 'Poodle perms' were all the rage in the UK at this time - though Steve's hair has a natural curl to it, and I'm guessing he didn't need a perm - just let it be natural and short.

    The song?

'Call Me' from the album 'Cut Above The Rest' 1979 - check out the whole video here on YT! LOL

  • great video, really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Free? .. a UK blues band, started around the same time as Sweet's previous incarnation, WainWright's Gentlemen, in 1968. Free split up in 1973 their biggest hit - All Right now!

I know what you mean SL about the Free sound - it's the 2 split drum/cymbol beats at 03:36 - also hear this on Solid Gold Brass.

    Cool tune.

  • @soniclady89 wow i just realized that 37 people liked ur comment, but only 26 people liked the actual video xD

  • The Sweet reminds me of the past before I was born and when times were better, people were FREE. and life was actually worth living, unlike nowadays where the world is falling apart because they have lost all connection to the simpler things.

And yes, Steve Priest is AWESOME! :D

  • The most underrated rock band?

  • sweet=soundtrack to life. Thank you SONIC LADY
