  • Today, November 21, 2o11 is Dr. John's 71st birthday.

Today, in New Orleans, my wife heard people singing "Indian Red" from the cemetery across the street. People were gathered for the interment of Big Chief Lionel Smith of the Carrollton Hunters Mardi Gras Indians who had passed on November 14th.
