that big sucker thing is the only thing that scares the crap outa me. one time I saw an atlas moth it was huge it landed on me and it was awsime but that it's big sucker thing came out and went ALL THE WAY INTO MY EAR AND I CRIES SO MUCH

it used to live in our country too. but after the clima changed...

it was more than 10 years ago. so no mobiles phones for making videos..

maybe my mind lies to me, but i remember it in the colour green. after the hummingbirds i used to see too... my grandmother had perfect garden for feeding it... nice vid.

Amazing! Indeed I did not know that this creature existed until just 1 year ago.... I was out tending the garden in the wee hours by the outdoor lamp and thought at first: " What is this? Hummingbirds are not active at night!!" I was initially alerted to its sound, which was very like the hummers' wings... then I perceived those big eyes glowing brightly reflective in the raj light!! Yikes!! How could this be a bird, and at this hour (1-2AM)?!! Oh wow, is that fur or feathers?!!

It is really an amazing moth, looking so much like a hummingbird and producing music that sounds like a full classical orchestra, whilst pollinating flowers.
