@sergsrt8 not just cooling. There is a whole branch of engineering that deals with materials. Composite materials, alloys and such. There are various tests carried out on them to find out how durable/reliable they are and what are the safe operating temperatures etc.

@kjbechtel its 552awhp which means its All wheel horse power. the engine produced bhp should be well above that at a near 600bhp or so.
If the stopping distance on the drag strip isnt enough for the car's brakes then yes a parachute is required

@cagednm69 thanks for the video it was interesting. I guess the most important thing for an engine is cooling. Also, meth injection will give you the benefits of race gas while cooling the intake manifold so meth injection sounds like a good idea for these cars. Where do people buy the meth?

@sergsrt8 Na, not stock internals. While the block can survive upto that level, the internals were specifically designed for the base evo with 300bhp. They use Forged internals there. And the max hp a boxer engine can push, I have no official figures on that one but im pretty sure it is way less than the 4g63's. Nobodys tested one of those i guess.
That Evolution drinks v8 juice everyday, i bet.
