@claymonatic royal marines are not better. the brits have not headed a major war since ww2. small battles and conflicts but no major wars. the usmc have been tested and tried on the modern combat battlefield in the past 100 years and have been hugely successful. due mostly in part to our stellar training, brotherhood and the american mindset of "never give in and keep fighting".

@claymonatic The Royal Marines are a special unit of the Royal Navy. They should not be compared to a whole branch such as the US Marine Corps because the Royal navy itself is not a separate branch.
