All you guys make me sick, why are you being so cynical. I can understand why it might not appeal to you but damn you guys can't even give a good reason why this game is not appealing or good. Most of you even forget that these games are at certain stages of development.

Yeah man but it erks me. You know Sometimes you get so amped for a game thats announced and some idiot comes and spoils everything with nick picks and pre-judgments that would'nt qualify as a good reason to buy or not buy a game. I can understand "It Looks good, or bad." But I hate the crying like "ZOMG Dracula don't look right, the art style is wrong, im not buying this game, Konami you failed me." It's enough to pull your hair out, if I had hair... -_-

I love this series, but they have really, really dropped the ball with the lame ass, goth-bondage, artwork. I'd rather see the effeminate, pasty gameboy and DS characters any day, than this weird, borderline S&M bullshit... I hope they fire the creative director's ass on Christmas Eve...

@somacruzfirm Then please tell me how the Ninja Gaiden series took off if "anime ruins everything". And you do know all of the Castlevania games since AT LEAST Aria of Sorrow have had AT LEAST little flickers of anime in them? And yes I know how old this comment is.

hate ta say it but cv1 does uss anime and you wanted someone to defines anime well..

The body mostly the face or background to denote moods and thoughts in western comics they use panels to tell you what’s going on in manga if the Character is sacred they will sweat or there face will take on extremely exaggerated expression. but western comics use panels to show this anime use images to show whats happing.

so yes CV1 is VERY anime

@somacruzfirm what defines manga and anime isn't relevant, because manga and anime are too broad a subjects to be defined simply by a set of rules and characteristics.

the point is, manga is the premiere art style in japan, and if you buy japanse, it's pathetic to expect western style. if you want western art buy western games.

@somacruzfirm saw in your last post you said it was just illustration no style just illustration then to you that makes evey pic an illustration with no style and thats crap anime/manga does not have to be on tv or in a comic to make an anime/manga style pic and thats what CV1 was it came out in 1986  that sort anime/manga style was big at the time City Hunter 1985 was popular the thing is when someone sez anime/manga they think of one piece and others not the serious style

They are just illustrations, the real manga/anime style, purely from these days, started with Rondo, and that's all

Looking to the older castlevania artworks and searching for anime/manga there it just has no sense, even when some of them are inspired by occidental illustrators like the artwork for Simon's Quest
