In August, 1992, Annie and I were lucky enough to connect with a once in a lifetime event - the Peace & Dignity Journeys - a Native American spiritual relay run, in which runners were covering the hemisphere. We stayed with the run for two days, from Crestone, Colorado to Taos, New Mexico. This is a 10 minute, lyrical documentary made from Hi8 footage I shot during those two days.

  • This video was an unexpected gift! I was on the 1992 Run and shared many wonderful memories and ceremonies from Alaska , with First Nation people in Canada and throughout the many tribes who hosted us along our Journeys. Our footsteps were prayers, and we proudly carried the Staff with Eagle Feathers representing all our brothers and sisters who are here struggling, and those who have gone before us, and those to come. I continue today to carry the staff in my heart.Love to hear from others.

  • Thank you for sharing this. Although my daughter and I had rejoined the run in Taos it was very good to see Denty and the others. It warmed my hart and lifted my spirts.

  • That was wonderful Ric & Annie! Thank you for documenting and sharing this event.
