  • Tommy Keene is the godfather of Power Pop!

Put the energy of Punk with liter gutiar sound and u get this incredible Alternative vibe..

  • One of the greatest live pop music performances on live t.v. in the MODern era. The king of power pop plays his most iconic song. Listen, and just try not to jump up and down, kids.

  • Saw them at the Wax Museum in 84

  • DC insiders always knew Tommy had it all...despite the kiss of death "Next Big Thing" article on the front page of the Style section of the Post....the shows at the Wax Museum were luminous....palying the guitar like-a ringin' the bell...

  • watch?v=U_1fyj2CoFU

  • nice performance. Isn't there a better audio somewhere?

  • Happy Birthday "Places That Are Gone" Keene! Enjoy your birthday and many more!

  • Jay Bennett :)

  • Pretty sure that is Steve Gerlach playing rhythm along with John Richardson on drums and Brad Quinn on bass.

  • RIP Jay Bennett
