Honduran Coup Leader: "Obama is a little black who knows nothing"

El nuevo "canciller" de Honduras, Enrique Ortez en una entrevista televisada se refirió a los países representados en la ONU y la OEA que no reconocen al gobierno golpista como "los otros grupitos que andan por ahí", se dirigió al presidente español diciéndole: "Zapatero a tus zapatos" y prefirió no hablar acerca del vecino El Salvador "porque no vale la pena hablar de un país tan chiquito, en el que no se puede jugar al fútbol porque la pelota se cae a otro país"

Fue más allá: "Ellos permiten lo que sea. Ya Estados Unidos no es el defensor de la democracia. En primer lugar el presidente de la república, que lo respeto, el negrito, no conoce dónde queda Tegucigalpa. Nosotros somos los que conocemos dónde está Washington y somos los obligados como país pequeño, un pigmeo democrático, a aclararles las concepciones y a leerle, tal vez en su idioma, lo que está pasando"

The new "chancellor" Enrique Ortez took part in a journalistic TV program in Honduras where he was asked about the international reactions to the coup d'etat. Ortez said that he gave no importane whatsoever to the OAS and "the other little groups out there", he said (Spanish premier) José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero should "go back to his shoes" (a play on words with the word "zapatero", which means "shoemaker" in Spanish), and said that he was not going to talk about (Honduras neighbour) El Salvador "because it's not worth talking about such a small country, where you can't even play football because the ball lands in another country".

But he went for more by defining President Barack Obama of The United States as "that little black man who doesn't know anything".

Racism has always been virulent in Latin America but, for a national representative in an the 21st century, this idiot Chancellor belongs to a bygone era. Ironically, mentioning Obama is the only reason that an insignificant Honduras is receiving any international attention - and it's not the good kind of attention.
