'Why wouldn't I want you to be happy?"
Because you're not.

@coralaisly Definitely afraid of seeming weak.

@HannahBeeNaNaZ Actually, I don't know if you're responding to the 3 month old one or the year old one... Regardless, this IS my way of enjoying the video, so calm down and let me enjoy it. If you disagree with me, fine, but having an opinion and analyzing a story and character within that story doesn't make me stupid.

@HannahBeeNaNaZ ...? Seriously? Responding to a 3 month old comment? I wasn't trying to make myself look like anything, or draw attention to myself. I was excitedly taking part in a conversation about a part of one of my favorite book / movies. That's just how I talk. You're reading way too much into a YouTube comment. I'll discuss any part of anything I like any time and anywhere I want to, thank you.

@coralaisly You're stupid...Way to try and draw attention to yourself through a sorry attempt at making yourself seem intellectual and visceral...YOU'RE WATCHING A VIDEO ON YOUTUBE, STFU AND ENJOY!

I had to look up DMSO. Apparently in the novel Ingrid kills her boyfriend using a mixture of dimethyl sulfoxide (a solvent) and oleander extract.

I'm so jealous of her artistic ability! bah, need to start drawing again!
@ampedpumpedstokedout Astrid's mother isn't strong, you're right. She's afraid. Afraid of being alone and ignored. Intensity and dischord are what draw attention to her and give her power. She didn't kill Barry because he cheated. She killed him because he made her feel small and insignificant, so she used him as a vehicle to get attention. In prison, someone always knows who you are. Out in the world, it's easy do dissolve into annonimity.
