This 2009 parody of 20 year old song, that was a Number 1 hit record in America, Canada and recorded internationally (you should hear it sung in Norwegian) still rings with as much truth,and tongue in cheek good humor, as it did when Joe Diffie sat on the top of the country charts with it in 1991. It is now perhaps even more universal, because so many more folks are in the same boat I was in, when I first wrote about trying to finance a new car to replace my worn out 76 Chrysler Cordoba.

Some friends of mine quipped upon first reading the opening of the new lyric Gee, I thought Obama was your guy ?, I answered back, You Know He Is ... but when the President himself told Steve Kroft on 60 Minutes, Sometimes a little gallows humor, helps you cope with some very serious issues, I thought, perhaps its time for If The Devil .... to dance again. When the White House announcement came about decisions made for GM and Chrysler, Obama Motors was born along with the rest of the new lyrics and a reprise of a real happy tune!
